You're welcome, Sharmaine. Happy you got a chance to see it! For those who missed it last night, no…Read More worries! The super luna is back June 23 and it will be even closer to Mother Tierra. :)

Aha! So that explains the really beautiful "moonrise" last night!
I can't wait to…Read More "moon gaze" tonight! Will enjoy a glass of wine with family and friends (or maybe a cup of hot tea, given the temperature forecast), and exclaim about the beauty of the natural world.
Thanks, Sheila!

It's time for the city to start thinking about the citizens that already live and vote in San Carlos…Read More before worrying about housing for those not here yet. To approve a project that will hurt current residents property values is disturbing. We don't need any more 1001 ElCamino type buildings in our community.

My take is that you simply just don't let it happen. You make it clear to them that as long as…Read More you're alive, their buildings will never be complete. However you go about making sure they don't get built is your business, but I can tell you that if the same situation arose in my neighborhood, absolutely nothing in the world would stop me from preventing the project.

Thanks for putting this article together. The Patch's coverage of this issue is appreciated. SCTV is…Read More the largest project in the history of San Carlos, so we're hoping to get this right. GESC is being asked to move 75% of future housing directly across from our 12-foot single story homes in our 60-year old established residential neighborhood made up of modestly priced homes ranging from $600K to $1.5 million. To have a 55-foot building built across the street from single story homes does not treat adequately respect existing land uses and threatens our way of live and our pocketbooks in terms of property values. These are rentals, not condos, so we're also worried about whether tenants will show the same respect for the neighborhood. We realize that the world moves on and progress must happen, we just don't understand why our neighborhood needs to bare such a high impact and are thus asking for reasonable homes that are a maximum of 3 stories. While we realize that Holly Street will likely turn into a parking lot for all of San Carlos, we're willing to share that burden with the rest of San Carlans as our contribution if this project is approved at reasonable levels.

Absolutely stunning! It's so realistic--at first glance it looks like a photo.

We are disappointed with this coverage that essentially provides free marketing for a corporation,…Read More Legacy Partners, taking their quotes unedited and not offering a reply from the GESC neighborhood most affected by these proposed buildings The truth is we accomplished nearly nothing in mediations although see that Legacy is using the fact they took place to market this oversized, out-of-scale project. This project aims to put 75% of San Carlos' future housing needs on a tiny strip across from the GESC neighborhood with life-threatening pedestrian crossings into the rest of San Carlos. The buildings are slated to tower 55 feet above our homes. To call this a transit village is merely for tax purposes. There is nothing in the project that promotes public transportation. Since this article was essentially a marketing piece disguised as an article, please expect an official response. Also, we hope that this too could get the type of placement on the top of the page that this so-called "news" is receiving.
