I remember Joe Kimble very well. He proudly served with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office fromRead More 1953-64, I missed a wonderful opportunity to serve with him, since I did not start my employment there until 1966. Joe was highly respected in every law enforcement job and assignment he ever held. He was great man, always ready to help a fellow, person, or officer, to be better at his/her job. The last time I saw Joe was when he stopped by for a visit and a short lunch with the dayshift staff at the DeAnza Community College Police Department Office, where his was previously served as the campus Chief of Police, that was in 2009. Joe will always be remembered for his great smile and friendly manner. Joe was a true law enforcement professional. His good deeds will nor be forgotten and he will surely be missed. My wife (Eileen) and I extend our regards to his lovely wife Marilyn and the other members of his family. God Bless you all.

I was walking my dog past Toni's house one beautiful afternoon. He was just setting up for hisRead More dinner on the porch. I joked with him that it smelled wonderful (and it really did). He insisted I take a bite. I really didn't want to interrupt his dinner, but he insisted. I took I bite of his breaded sauted shrimp and it was delicious!. I asked for the recipe and he was all to happy to share. I will miss Toni.

I will miss Tony....his cheerful personality and lively discussions from his grandchildren to hisRead More WWII experiences, his garden, his little "zipcar".... He was a member of the Liguri Nel Mondo Association (descendant families from Genoa area in Italy) and attended the WWII memorabilia exhibit at Joe Garbarino's in San Rafael. Addio Tony.

The class of 1971 at Serra High included unique individuals that wove a harmonious pattern ofRead More friendship and mutual respect. Buck stood out among those individuals. It was always a pleasure to run into him in the hallways and lunchroom. We have already lost several of our best classmates and it gets harder each time. I was fortunate enough to see him one last time during our annual Christmas gathering (actually my first) and will always remember him fondly. We are all better people for knowing Buck.

I saw Omar at Supervisor Dave Pine's election night victory house party on May 3, 2011. Exactly oneRead More week later, he was dead. Although I didn't know Omar, that felt shocking, and tragic.
