San Carlos Airport: San Mateo County

<p>The San Carlos Airport, located on Airport Way, opened in 1948. It is one of the two San Mateo County airports, along with Half Moon Bay.</p> <p>The Airport has many hangars that house approximately 500 planes. It is home for many aviation-related businesses, from flight schools to flight clubs and aircraft insurance agencies. It is also a hub for emergency medical and humanitarian services, such as Medivac and Air Ambulance.</p> <p>The San Carlos Airport is run by airport business fees and user fees. It is not supported financially by the city or county. </p>
