Funds from the event support the association’s charitable activities, particularly its student-exchange program.  With financial help from the association, students from the Peninsula recently visited San Carlos’s sister cities of Ōmura, Japan, and MetepecMexico.  Students from Ōmura also stayed with local families, and students from Metepec plan to visit in November.
