New Picnic Reservation Policy Means No More 'Squatting'

Picnickers in San Carlos can now reserve their spots at Burton, Arguello and Laureola parks.

The San Carlos Parks and Recreation Department now offers the ability to reserve picnic sites in advance, meaning residents no longer need to get up at the crack of dawn to save a spot.

Now, thanks to an online application, San Carlos picnickers can spend more time on packing the basket and gathering friends to head to the park.

Picnic areas are reservable March through October, and include Burton Park (3 sites), Arguello Park (2 sites), and Laureola Park (1 site).

Applications can be found online at www.cityofsancarlos.org/depts/pr or in person at the San Carlos Parks and Recreation office, located at City Hall.
