Commit Dancicide at Burton Park

*Dancicide (n) The act of dancing intensely for long periods of time. In other words, dancing your heart out.

In other eras, it might be 'Get Your Groove On" or "Shake it but Don't Break it." Whatever generation you call home, the Cocktail Monkeys have something for you.

Burton Park's 'Music in the Park,' opens Friday with this unique Bay Area band that blends 60s music in with current favorites, with a dash of rock, pop, funk and disco along the way.

The popular San Carlos Parks and Recreation program runs every Friday from 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., each week featuring a different band.

It's family fun in a setting under the stars. It's OK to bring blankets and food, but no barbeque. It's perfectly fine to bring those dancing shoes and frolic to the sound of music.
