Undefeated Sequoia Boys Tennis Edges Oceana

The team continues undefeated.

The Sequoia boys' tennis team edged Oceana in a hard-fought Peninsula Athletic League-Ocean Division match 4-3 at home Thursday.

At No. 2 and No. 3 singles, Sequoia's David Burtt won 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 and teammate Daniel Jude won 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-0. Oceana's Jason Van won at No. 1 singles 7-6, 8-6, 6-0 and the Sharks' Alan Vasilkovsky 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles, Oceana's Dan Recinto and Dante Fernandez won 6-4, 6-2 at No.1. Sequoia's Cameron Satterlee and Logan Billman teamed for a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles to wrap up the win. Sequoia freshmen Sebastian Castrillo and Conor Carroll rolled to a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3.    

The Cherokees move to 6-0 in league and 6-1 overall.
