San Carlos to Host District 52 Little League Tournament

The all-star baseball season begins this weekend with Majors and Minors Super Bowl tournaments. The District 52 Majors tournament (for ages 11-12) will take place at Highlands Park and Arguello Park beginning June 29. San Carlos sends eight all-star teams

The Tigers were crowned city champions of San Carlos last weekend following their victory in the Little League Majors (ages 11-12) tournament.

The all-star tournament season opens this weekend with the single-elimination Majors and Minors Super Bowl tournaments.

The Majors tournament will be played on the Ortega School Fields in Pacifica, while the Minors tournament will be contested at Trinta Park in San Mateo.

Games are scheduled to start on Saturday and continue through Tuesday.

San Carlos hosts the Majors District 52 tournament beginning next Friday, June 29 at Highlands Park and Arguello Park, with a pair of games.

The San Carlos National team plays Pacifica American at Arguello at 6 p.m., while the Alpine-West Menlo team meets Ravenswood at Highlands Park North at 4 p.m.

San Carlos American, which finished second last year to five-time defending champion Hillsborough, plays its first game on Saturday, June 30 against Palo Alto American at 9 a.m.

The tournament continues through July 12.

The San Carlos National team will be managed by Scott Jefferies, along with coaches Steve Folan and Jeff Wilson.

The players are Cole Spina, Daniel Zorb, Jackson Hohe, John Wilson, Justin Folan, Lucas Billot, Matthew Smith, Nolan Peterson, Ryan Jeffries, Shane Wallace, Will Stange and Zachary Smith.

The San Carlos American team will be managed by Lee Brandenburg, with coaches Don Brooks and Ben Higgins.

The players are Austin Hartman, Dominic Marques, Geoffrey Toth, Henry Reich, Jordan Brandenburg, Kyle Cody, Liam Sharek, Mitchell Bove, Nicholas Brooks, Ross Martindale, Ryan Higgins and Will Bentley.

The 10-11 all-star tournament will held at Red Morton Park in Redwood City, with San Carlos National meeting Palo Alto National at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 30. San Carlos American faces Hillsborough that Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on Kiwanis Field.

Steven Lochrie manages the National team with coasches Mike Busser and Terry Huskey. The players are Brady Dillon, Cade Rees, Devon Lewis, Garrett Fetisoff, Jarrod Blau, Michael Leahy, Nathan Frojelin, Nicholas Lochrie, Oliver Zak, Ryan Busser, Ryan Huskey and Shawn Wilson.

Dan Desmidt manages the American team. He's joined by coaches Joe DiGrande and Rich Cross. The players are Adam Cross, Barry Mainz, Benjamin Pucel, Daniel Ristow, Derick Knecht, Dominic DiGrande, Jason Korjeff, Keith Knecht, Matthew Wilson, Mitchell Plane, Nico Franchi and Tyler Desmidt.

The 9-10 year old all-star teams also open Saturday, June 30 at Fairway Park in Pacifica. San Carlos National feaces Belmont-Redwood Shores at 9:30 a.m. and San Carlos American plays Ravenswood at 5 p.m.

Manager John Leathers' National roster includes coaches Jeff Carlson and Rich Hooper and players Alex Carlson, Andrew Lanesey, Daniel Gaskill, Davin Leathers, Ethan Mayoss, Jay Miller, Leland Bove, Mason Burke, Matt Sanchez, Nathan Smith, Paul McMahon and Shayne Hooper.

American manager Mike Doyle has a roster that includes coaches Mike Cagle and Rob Rush and players Andrew Rush, Charlie Love, David Bedrosian, Gannon Dow, Greg Tech, Jackson Collier, Kyle Rosecrans, Mario Reifschneider, Matteo Cagle, Max Porter, Nolan Doyle and Shayne Douglas.

The Majors Super Bowl National team roster is manager Steve Berriatua, coach Alison Spong and players Alex Fogel, Anthony Musch, Brandon Lanesey, Eli Rodriguez, Harrison Fukuji, Jake Geise, Joseph Casente,  Joshua Hall, Mark Bobich, Michael York, Ryan Berriatua and Tyler Vidovich.

The Majors Super Bowl American team roster is manager Ted Stanley, coach Chris Ricci and players Brendan Quinn, Charles Ricci, Clayton Orazem, Conner Juliano, Grant Norman, Jack Baker, Jonathan Pratt, Layne Stanley, Matthew De Lamare, Michael Zell, Sam Rosenberg and Rostam Reifschneider.

The Super Bowl Minors National team is manager Gordon Wong, coach Tom Shea and players Ben Pasion, Chris Lier, Christian Flamino, Domenic San Filippo, Gino Bonetti, Jack McCarthy, Logan Meadow, John Horan, Kevin Shea, Mark DeGraff, Ryan Wong and Will Hoch.

The Super Bowl Minors American team is manager Twisselman, coach Stephen Gould and players Alex Chuang, BJ Cassidy, Blake Stump, Cole Twisselman, Dylan Strout, Jagger Healy, Jared Higgins, Louis LaGrille, Oliver Blasband, Thomas Gould, Will Jackson and Zach Doyle.
