On Saturday, Carlmont softball coach Jim Liggett led his team to victory against Pioneer 2-1 at Mission College, a historic 900th win for Liggett, placing him in the lead as the most celebrated coach in California high school softball history.
"It was kind of hard to celebrate down at Mission College," Liggett told the San Jose Mercury News.
