Photos: Sequoia Boys' Tennis Edges Westmoor

The Cherokees bounce back and gain their revenge.

A day after Westmoor handed Sequoia its first Peninsula Athletic League-Ocean loss, the Cherokees bounced back with a 4-3 win over the visiting Rams on Wednesday.

The Cherokees improve to 8-2 in league and are 8-3 overall. Westmoor edged Sequoia 4-3 in Daly City on Tuesday. 

Sequoia senior Daniel Jude came back from being behind three match points in the final set to overtake Nathan Wu in hard-fought third singles match 3-6,6-4, 7-5.

Westmoor took the other singles matches with Dillon Saw defeating senior Jon Saltzman 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1. Adrian Richalski beat senior David Burtt 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 and Carlos Cabrejos took a 6-4, 6-1 win over senior Matt Leftowitz.

In doubles, Sequoia seniors Zach Sahn and Santi Ortega rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Michael Win and Clarence Casil. Fellow Cherokees Cameron Satterlee and junior Logan Billman teamed for a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles. Sequoia freshmen Conor Carroll and Sebastian Castrillo won by default.

Sequoia plays at South San Francisco on Thursday.
