Take Flight for Kids: Wright Flight

If you're a kid who fantasized about sprouting wings and taking flight then don't miss out on the Hiller Aviation Museum's Take Flight for Kids programs. Take Flight programs are half-day adventures into the world of aviation for elementary-aged students in Grades 1-5. Sessions are scheduled on select weekend and holiday dates throughout the year and include the following: Hands-on construction of flying model aircraft; Exclusive behind-the-scenes cockpit explorations in Museum aircraft; And a special flight simulation experience in the Flight Sim Zone.

At the Wright Flight program on November 6th, kids will follow in the footsteps of Wilbur and Orville Wright in a re-creation of the journey to Kitty Hawk. They'll get to build and fly a realistic Wright Brothers glider, investigate two different Wright airplanes, and launch the original 1903 Flyer in the Flight Sim Zone.
