Take Flight for Kids: Astronaut Adventure

If you're a kid who fantasized about sprouting wings and taking flight then don't miss out on the Hiller Aviation Museum's Take Flight for Kids programs. Take Flight programs are half-day adventures into the world of aviation for elementary-aged students in Grades 1-5. Sessions are scheduled on select weekend and holiday dates throughout the year and include the following: Hands-on construction of flying model aircraft; Exclusive behind-the-scenes cockpit explorations in Museum aircraft; And a special flight simulation experience in the Flight Sim Zone.

At the Astronaut Adventure program kids will explore the science of space travel and use Newton's Third Law to launch an air-powered rocket. They'll also get to build and fly a space shuttle glider and take the controls of a simulated Shuttle Training Aircraft in a mission to the final frontier.
