Take Flight for Kids: Airplane Experience
If you're a kid who fantasized about sprouting wings and taking flight then don't miss out on the Hiller Aviation Museum's Take Flight for Kids programs. Take Flight programs are half-day adventures into the world of aviation for elementary-aged students in Grades 1-5. Sessions are scheduled on select weekend and holiday dates throughout the year and include the following: Hands-on construction of flying model aircraft; Exclusive behind-the-scenes cockpit explorations in Museum aircraft; And a special flight simulation experience in the Flight Sim Zone.
At the Airplane Experience program kids will find out what makes airplanes tick in an intensive exploration of flight. They'll also check out in two of the Museum's light airplanes, build and fly a rubber-powered model, and fly a realistic series of maneuvers in a simulated small airplane.
