After-School Aviators: Flight Explorers

After-school programs are available at the Hiller Aviation Museum on Tuesday afternoons for Grades 1-5 and Thursday afternoons for Grades 4-8. Elementary programs focus on hands-on aircraft construction and basic flight simulation. Middle school programs feature special aircraft encounters and advanced flight simulation. Each session meets one day per week from 3:30 PM-4:50 PM for four weeks.

The elementary school program is called Flight Explorers and allows kids to investigate the world of aircraft by building and flying a variety of small models, including airplanes, helicopters and gliders. They'll explore the cockpits of real aircraft in the Museum's Gallery and enter the flight simulators to discover the thrill of flying different aircraft.
