Construction will begin on the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in San Carlos, according to PAMF officials.
Planning for the building began 10 years ago, and the city council gave its final OK back in 2007. For four years, an environmental soils remediation project was underway at 301 Industrial Road to restore the site to “unrestricted standard,” according to a PAMF press release.
The new campus will be constructed in two phases. The first, an outpatient medical clinic and parking structure, will take about two years.
The second phase, an acute care hospital, has not yet been scheduled to begin building.
