Do You Have an Economic Development Vision for San Carlos?

There are two open seats on the city's Economic Development Advisory Commission; Friday is the deadline to apply. To qualify, you must be a resident or business owner in San Carlos.

The Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC) now has two vacant seats due to the expired terms of two commissioners who have reached their commission term limits.

If you are a business owner in San Carlos and/or a resident of the City of San Carlos and you are interested in serving on this committee, applications are being accepted at this time.

EDAC's Role
The Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC) is a nine-member advisory commission appointed by the City Council. Commission members include representatives of the business community in San Carlos as well as residents.

EDAC provides the City Council advice and recommendations on the City's economic development programs, goals and objectives. The Commission’s goals include maintaining a successful business climate, ensuring a diverse job base, and providing an adequate range of housing for residents and employees of San Carlos businesses.

Application Deadline
The deadline for the receipt of applications in the City Clerk’s Office is Friday, January 18, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. Interviews have tentatively been scheduled with the City Council on the evening of Monday, January 28, 2013.
