Some major changes occurred this week regarding the upcoming November elections. Here is a brief recap of this week’s political happenings:

- Local Businessman Ron Collins filed his paperwork and signatures and is now the first Council Candidate to be certified by the County Registrar of Voters for the Nov ballot in San Carlos, said assistant city manager Brian Moura in an email to San Carlos Patch.

- Incumbent Council Member Randy Royce is back from vacation and has pulled papers to run for re-election to City Council.
