Speak Out: Take a Survey on Downtown San Carlos Parking

A vibrant downtown often comes with parking headaches. Take the city's survey and let them know your gripes, ideas and suggestions on how to improve the parking in downtown San Carlos.

We've all done it---the slowwwww crawl up Laurel Street at lunchtime, praying to the parking gods that someone will be backing out near Plantation Coffee or Cowabunga or Bow Wow Meow just as we approach.....

But no luck---we'll go another block. Okay, we'll go AROUND the block. Maybe there's a spot on Walnut, or Elm, or at least in the Caltrain parking lot.

City leaders get it---there are some parking challenges in downtown San Carlos. And they are seeking your help to come up with some answers.

As the City of San Carlos embarks on a comprehensive inventory of downtown parking, both public and private, city leaders and parking consultants are seeking the public's input. A survey has been created for both customers and merchants to share their thoughts and suggestions.

City staff will share this information with the downtown merchants and adjacent residents and obtain comments from the public to include in the study prior to presenting it to the six-member Parking Advisory Committee and the City Council.
