Mark Olbert Officially Certified As Third Council Candidate

The announcement was officially made today that Mark Olbert will be running for council.

Mark Olbert is officially running for city council. 

The County Registrar of Voters has certified Olbert as the third candidate on the November ballot, according to assistant city manager Brian Moura.

A retired financial executive, Olbert, 56, told the Mercury News he will work to better the city's east side and increase recreational space.

Olbert is a father of two and a 14-year resident of San Carlos.

Ron Collins and Randy Royce have already been certified. The three men are so far the only candidates registered to vie for the two open seats come November 8.
