Local Leaders Aren't Born....They Enroll in This Program

If you could discuss matters of importance with influential civic and community leaders in a comfortable, open setting … would you do it?

Registration is now open for the 2013/14 Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.

The leadership program has been educating and inspiring community members to get more engaged in their community since 1989.

According to organizers, the program is open to anyone in Redwood City, Belmont, Menlo Park or San Carlos who would become more educated and involved in the community.

Sessions are held one Friday a month, September through June, participants learn about issues of vital concern to their city; and learn how they can effectively shape the future of their community, their organization or business.  Sessions generally run from 8am until 3pm.

Program goals include:

  • Identifying and motivate potential leaders
  • Acquainting potential leaders with community needs and challenges
  • Introducing participants to notable leaders within their communities
  • Challenging program participants to become involved in their communities
