Laureola Park To Get New Playground Equipment

The park will received equipment after the council approved the item at Monday nights council meeting.

Laureola Park is getting new playground equipment to the delight of many San Carlos parents who attended Monday nights meeting to support the agenda item.

“This is something we really need,” said one parent who said she had spoken to more than 30 families who supported the installation of playground equipment.

The city council authorized city manager Jeff Maltbie to sign a contract with Miracle PlaySystems to install and design playground equipment for the park. The park will also received a water function.

The cost to the city will be $326,125.

“It got approved,” said Racquel Walker on San Carlos Patch’s comment board. “So excited to have a park much closer to home that my son and I think a lot of kids will love to go to! It's a much needed renovation and I hope to "Adopt A Park" with Laureola!”
