Johnson Officially in the Running For San Carlos City Council Seat
He made his announcement on Facebook page.
Cameron Johnson officially announced his candidacy for a seat on the San Carlos City Council the new-fashioned way. He put it on Facebook.
" Friends, I'm excited to announce that I'm running for City Council in San Carlos," he wrote. "I'd be grateful if you'd go to my new campaign Facebook page at Cameron Johnson for City Council and click LIKE."

Johnson originally applied for a seat on the council when Andy Klein resigned, an 18-month interim position that eventually went to Karen Clapper with a request not to run this time around.
(There was some discussion in February regarding the request but it never made it to a vote).

Johnson is a member of the Economic Development Advisory Commission. He's married (Celine Zlotoff) and has a two-year daughter (Josephine).
Mayor Bob Grassilli has said he will be running again for one of the three available spots. Former council member Inge Tiegel Doherty has also expressed interest.
Former Mayor Matt Grocott and Clapper remain undecided.
