Do You Have a Vision For San Carlos' Future Development?

There is one vacancy on the city's planning commission.

As June wraps up, the San Carlos Planning Commission will have one vacant seat due to the expired term of a commissioner. The city is accepting applications now for San Carlos residents interested in serving.

The Planning Commission meets the first and third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Planning Commission duties may include:
 
   . Making recommendations on the City's General Plan for future development 
   . Make reports of its findings and recommendations to the City Council 
   . Review and act on proposals for development applications in San Carlos
    . Initiate Zoning Code (Title 18) reviews of the San Carlos Municipal Code 
   . Review and act upon applications including Zoning Changes, Variances and     Conditional Use Permits

To apply, download and complete the Planning Commission Application Form and Supplemental Questionnaire (links below). To request the forms by mail, call the City Clerk at (650) 802-4219. Applications are also available for pick-up at the City Clerk's office, City Hall, Second Floor, 600 Elm Street, San Carlos.

The filing deadline has been extended. Applications and supplemental questions should be submitted to the City Clerk's office by Friday, August 16, 2013 at 4:00 PM. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the evening of Monday, August 26, 2013.
