City Council Meeting Preview: Jeff Maltbie Offered City Manager Position, Agreement To Be Finalized Tonight

Jeff Maltbie has been offered the position of city manager.

The San Carlos city council has offered Jeff Maltbie the position of city manager, according to city documents.

The agreement will be finalized at tonight’s city council meeting.

Maltbie has been serving as the city’s interim city manager since the departure of Mark Weiss in December of 2010.

A graduate of San Jose State University and the son of San Mateo County manager John Maltbie, he worked as an administrative services director  before taking his current position.

 The city conducted a six-month, nation-wide search for the position and narrowed it down to six qualified applicants whom they interviewed before offering the position to Maltbie.
