City Council Interviews Begin Tonight

The San Carlos City Council will meet tonight at 5:30pm inside the community meeting room to interview seven candidates to replace Andy Klein on the council.

The selected candidate will be appointed to the city council chair at the next official council meeting.

Last year, after the untimely passing of Omar Ahmad, former mayor and councilman Brad Lewis was selected from the pool of interviewees. This year, Lewis from the list of applicants due to work conflicts. 

also pulled his name from the list after the council asked all applicants to promise not to run in the November 2013 election.

- Sally Mitchell, Former Mayor and City Council Member

- Inge Tiegel-Doherty, Former Mayor and City Council Member

- Farrokh Albuyeh, Vice-President of Open Access Technology International

- Karen Clapper, Chairwoman of San Carlos Planning Commission

- Ricardo Garcia-Pacheco, Formerly of the San Carlos Economic Development Advisory Commission

- John Hoffmann, Former City Council Member

- Steven San Filippo, City Planning Commissioner
