Brad Lewis Withdraws His Name From City Council Applicant Pool

The former mayor will not be in contention to fill the vacancy.

Former Mayor and City Councilman Brad Lewis has dropped out of the city council applicant pool, according to a letter written to City Manager Jeff Maltbie and City Clerk Christine Boland.

Lewis was a favorite going into the interviews, given his experience and last years appointment to the vacant chair.

The letter said, "After taking a long and hard look at the time and energy needed to adequately fill the open council seat, I've decided that I need to withdraw from consideration for the appointment. Not working together with the two of you is one of my greatest sadnesses about this decision."
