A Week-Long Treasure Hunt to Celebrate Social Media
From June 21-to-June 28, San Carlos will guide residents in the many uses of social media.
For one-week in late June, San Carlos will embrace its Silicon Valley roots and play host to Social Media Day, a week-long treasure hunt using social media tools, smartphones and apps.
The celebration will begin and end at Hot Harvest Nights, Thursday to Thursday, from June 21 until June 28.
Participants will be asked to use Twitter to find clues @SanCarlosBiz, Pinterest to pin photos of hidden treasure, and Instagram to share photos of hidden treasure.

The week will be a learning experience for the community to embrace social media; a fun workshop like excursion to make navigating technology more accessible.
Many prizes - such as Giants tickets, signed baseballs and a Swivl personal cameraman - will be given to the winners. The city will also announce a grand prize!
