Update: Missing Woman Found Safe in San Mateo

The 76-year-old Alzheimer's patient walked away from her San Carlos assisted living home early Friday morning. She was located in San Mateo at 3 p.m. Friday.

[Editor's Note: The San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services had initially spelled the missing woman's surname as Leham. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office has since clarified that her last name is Laham.]

A missing 76-year-old woman with Alzheimer's who walked away from her unincorporated San Carlos assisted living facility this morning was found in good health in San Mateo, San Mateo County Sheriff's Officials said.

Reva Laham was reported missing after she walked away from an assisted living home at 777 Bayview Drive in unincorporated San Carlos around 1 a.m. today, sheriff's officials said.

Laham, who is described as an avid walker, was spotted around 11:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Bayswater Avenue in Burlingame and also had been seen earlier on Burlingame Avenue.

Around 3 p.m. sheriff's detectives found Laham in San Mateo near the Burlingame border. She was in good health and will be returned home, sheriff's officials said.
