Traffic Enforcement Campaign Brings More Than 50 Citations

Citations and minor infractions were given out in response to resident concerns about traffic violations.

A nine-hour traffic enforcement campaign in San Carlos Tuesday resulted in more than 50 citations issued, along with dozens of minor infraction warnings.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office San Carlos Police Bureau, residents were concerned about excessive traffic violations, which led to an increased enforcement period Tuesday.

Several motorcycle deputies throughout the day made 78 traffic stops.

From those stops, 52 citations were issued and 26 drivers received minor infraction warnings, according to sheriff's officials.
