Vehicles Stolen From San Carlos Neighborhoods

Three Hondas were stolen last night, police said.

Three Hondas were stolen overnight from residential areas, police said, one of which was found and recovered. All three Hondas were supposedly locked and stolen with the use of shaved keys, police said.

"Prior to these auto thefts, our year-to-date auto theft rate was the lowest it has been in five years," said Captain Greg Rothaus.  "We're now at 11 year-to-date but our average exceeds 12."

The Sheriff's Office is investigating these thefts to locate the two outstanding stolen vehicles, police said.
