The avid opposition San Carlos Police Chief Greg Rothaus has shown toward the s expansion has San Carlos Patch wondering: Do you want to see the Carlos Club expand?

Rothaus has said police deal already respond to a high number of incidents at the club.

According to a recent San Jose Mercury News article, owner Fred Duncan asked the planning commission on Oct. 10 to let him build "a partially covered patio outside behind the bar with dining tables, a gas fireplace, a small stage and several palm trees, all enclosed by a 6-foot stucco wall." 

The commission members said they could support the plan if there were limits placed on the entertainment usages of the patio, and if extra security was provided, the article said. 

The patio would more than triple the 's maximum capacity.
