SMC Narcotics Task Force Seizes Assault Rifle, Handguns

A search warrant lead to the seizure of firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. The suspect, a convicted felon, was placed under arrest.

A convicted felon who was believed to be illegally selling firearms, was arrested on Friday when San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force (SMCNTF) agents found four firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition at the suspect's San Mateo home.

The Jan. 11 investigation by SMCNTF agents led to the issuance of a search warrant at the home of Antonio Infante, 35, located in the 1300 Block of Speers Avenue. 

According to SMCNTF, once Infante was located and detained without incident, a they searched his residence and his vehicle, which resulted in the  seizure of three handguns, two revolvers, one semiautomatic and an SKS assault rifle fully loaded with a high capacity magazine. Also located were hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Infante, who is a convicted felon, was placed under arrest and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility.  He is being held on $250,000 bail.
