Sheriff's Office Investigates Another Suspicious Person in San Carlos

Thursday's incident was the second suspicious person report this week in San Carlos.

The San Mateo County sheriff's office is investigating another report of a suspicious incident in San Carlos this week.

On Thursday at about 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Vine Street.

A resident said that at about 9:10 a.m., his doorbell rang and an unidentified subject asked if "Tony" was home. The resident told the subject nobody by the name of Tony lived at this address.

The reporting party described the subject as Hispanic male, approximately 5’-10” to 6’-0” tall, with a thin build. Deputies were unable to locate the subject.

The burglar's method of operation often includes knocking on a door in order to access whether the home owners are home. If the home is unoccupied, a burglary often occurs and if a home owner answers the door the burglar will simply ask an innocent question and then move on.
