UPDATED: San Carlos Store Robbed by Four Men Wearing Giants Masks

The men threatened to use pepper spray on employees of the Home Consignment Store, then smashed jewelry cases with sledge hammers.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office San Carlos Police Bureau, at approximately noon on Tuesday, four unidentified males robbed the Home Consignment Center at 1123 Industrial Road in San Carlos.

Authorities say the the men pulled up to the store in a newer model Ford Mustang with paper plates. They left the vehicle running and entered the store, wearing “San Francisco Giants” colored masks, and hooded sweat shirts. The men were in possession of four sledge hammers and several cans of pepper spray, which they used to threaten store employees.

Once inside the store, the four men went directly to the jewelry cases and smashed the glass tops, grabbing jewelry. They then fled the store with the jewelry. Witnesses watched as the men left the scene in the Ford Mustang.

The suspect vehicle was last seen driving onto southbound Hwy. 101 from Brittan Avenue.

Witnesses on scene described the four suspects as white males, approximately 20 years old, tall and with thin builds.  Witnesses further described the suspect vehicle as being a new Ford Mustang, gray in color with two black racing stripes running down the vehicle’s center. The Ford Mustang also had paper license plates.
