San Carlos Police: Lock Your Doors

Rash of daytime home burglaries occurred this week.

 

The San Carlos Patrol Bureau is asking residents to be alert after two daytime burglaries occurred this week involving residences where no one was home.

The bureau, which is part of the San Mateo County Sheriff's  Office, said that the suspects have entered homes through rear sliding glass  doors that were either left unlocked or were pried open by burglars using a screwdriver.

Police are asking residents, when stepping out, to lock all doors and windows -- both at home and for parked vehicles.

Anyone who observes suspicious persons or vehicles is asked to contact 911.
