One Injured in Possible Gang-Related Shooting in Half Moon Bay

The victim is expected to survive.

Police are looking for the suspect in a possible gang-related shooting in Half Moon Bay on Sunday evening.

The shooting occurred at about 5 p.m. near the intersection of First Avenue and Grove Street, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Police believe the shooting was not random and may be gang-related. The suspect suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting appears to have followed an altercation between two groups of males, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s, and was seen riding a green bicycle. He is believed to live in the immediate area.

Police said citizen's should not be concerned for their safety, since this crime was directed towards specific individuals.
