Man Arrested for Prowling, Peeping in Window

A San Carlos woman was arranging Easter baskets on Saturday when she saw a man looking in her bedroom window.

A 35-year-old San Carlos man was arrested on Saturday for prowling and peeping into the bedroom window of a home on Beverly Drive, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the suspect, David Russell Speiser, was located shortly after a woman called to report that burglary was in process at her home in the 100 block of Beverly Drive at around midnight on March 30. The 39-year-old victim told deputies that she had been in the back of the house arranging Easter basket for her children when she heard her bedroom window opening.

When she looked to see what was going on, she saw the suspect staring back at her through the window. She then closed the window and called 9-1-1.
