Two suspects robbed a Menlo Park convenience store at gunpoint Friday night. Officers were called around 7:35 p.m. Friday to a report of an armed robbery at the Tri-E-Z Foods and Liquor stores at 1820 El Camino Real, police said. Police arriving on the scene learned that two unidentified suspects, one wearing a mask and armed with a handgun, had entered the store a short time earlier.

The armed suspect brandished the handgun and ordered a store clerk to hand over money from the cash register, according to police. Police said the suspects also took cash and property from two customers in the store at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.

The suspects grabbed the money from the register and fled on foot, heading south on El Camino Real. Menlo Park and Atherton police officers combed the area but were unable to locate the suspects or a possible suspect vehicle.

According to police, the armed suspect is described as a black man between 18 and 25 years old who is about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, black mask, gray cap, blue pants and black gloves at the time of the robbery. The second suspect is described as a black man who is between 22 and 25 years old with the same height and build as the first suspect. He was said to be a wearing a black jacket, black cap, blue pants and black gloves, police said.

see dag nab it... if we had banned guns as Sen Feinstein wanted, these guys would not have been armed and they would have chosen a different more productive line of work. People don't rob stores, guns do!
