 Auto Body faulty repairs tips: Is Auto insurance misleading consumers? Warning: when you call Geico/ State farm/ progressive/Farmers/AAA & some other companies to open claim locally you should know they will steer you to List of their own Body shops most of them truly they are not certified but falsely they call them certified.    The secret deal is they have the agreement & contract not to charge them for many necessary repairs & fix car fast as possible instead insurance company try hard to steer consumers to them, also they are obligated no matter what to fix car quickly as possible to avoid extra cost such as rental, These issues been hidden & cause major conflict of interest & lead to compromise in quality of repairs, based on ( Bureau of  Automotive Repair known as BAR) more than 75% of repair by insurance direct repair recommended repair shops had a quality problem & safety issues.       Best practice is look for shop don't have contract with Insurance companies to avoid conflict of interest, search for qualified & certified shops witch been in business for many years, be aware there is many good shops around at same time many hack shops, by the California law you can choose the shop at any area to fix your car, A must if you pick a shops make sure they guaranty to repair your car in writting by factory guide lines (precudere), otherwise do not sign repair Authorization unless they add they will repair car per manufacture precudere, most of direct repair shops they have no clue what's factory requirements also insurance company don't want educate consumers, in case of problem repair shop is responsible, for more technical question or free inspection after repair in Silicon Valley area contact www.eurotechco.com  or   http://www.bar.ca.gov/03_BARprograms/Auto_Repair.html
