This Week's Unveiling of the Gargantuan San Carlos Transit Village

This is a fight for the soul of San Carlos, yet very little seems to be changing about the 8-1001 Laurel-type, 4-story Stack and Pack buildings planned for the busiest intersection in town at Holly and El Camino with 6 driveways pouring automobiles onto an already gridlocked El Camino that will soon also have traffic from a giant hospital being built at the end of Holly. If this project is built, it will take 30 minutes to get onto the 101 from West San Carlos! We really hope that the West Side will see how this project that puts 281 "luxury" units - 100 more units than are required by the state in San Carlos through 2022, - right in the middle of everyone's daily commute just so developers can make free money off public land and SamTrans can subsidize high salaried officials whose pensions are already pushing CalTrain towards insolvency. This project needs to be cut dramatically to go onto a tiny piece of land as proposed. Please come out to public meetings this week to save San Carlos!
