Obituary: Claudia Stevens Harrington

Claudia Stevens Harrington (aka Michel Street), was raised in San Carlos. She died Sept. 29 at age 72.

Our beautiful, beloved mother, sister and friend, age 72, passed away September 29, 2012. Born June 13, 1940 in San Francisco, daughter of Claude Stevens and Melba Wallwork.

Raised in San Carlos, she graduated from Carlmont High and married John F. Harrington in 1958. She was a living angel – lovingly caring for many ill and elderly friends and family for most of her last 20 years. She served the community in several ways: LDS church positions, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Girl Scout Leader, PTA, Peninsula Symphony, and Belmont Newcomers Club. As a SF County Deputy Sherriff, she was known for showing compassion in the women’s jail and later as a court bailiff.

Survived by two loving daughters, Michelle Harrington Feller; Shauna Harrington Fisher; five grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren; and sisters Sherre Scott, Clyda Trent,. Services Thursday, October 4 at 1pm at the LDS Chapel, 3601 Alameda De Las Pulgas, San Mateo. Internment at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Colma.
