The Song Inside My Head

The Peninsula Art Institute presents an
exciting group exhibit, The Song Inside My Head, featuring
the work of fine art photographers from the Peninsula Photographic Arts
Guild (PPAG). This exhibit, to be held in the Peninsula Art Institute
Gallery, runs from February 6 through March 16. There will
be a reception open to the public on Sunday, February
9 from 1-4pm
.

PPAG is an organization consisting of photographers in
the Bay Area who are dedicated to the promotion of photography as
Fine Art, exploring and encouraging innovation within the medium.

Each photographic artist at the moment that
he identifies a potential photograph develops a progression of thought
that defines the final outcome. A specific “song” runs through his head that
instructs and inspires him or her towards a creative end. This exhibit will
explore the path from mind to lens of each photographer, facilitating the
presentation of a variety of innovative photographic techniques. Many of
the images will be digital prints. Some traditional film,
experimental camera-less (scanned) and infrared photographic
work, as well as digital collage will also be presented. Both
black and white and color images will be represented, predetermined by each
photographic artist’s vision in uniquely diversified results.
