San Carlos/Redwood City AAUW Monthly Meeting

San Carlos/Redwood City AAUW Meeting October 12, 2013

John Ragosta, a Program Manager for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is the speaker for the Oct.12, meeting of the San Carlos/Redwood City AAUW chapter(American Association of University Women). The meeting will be held at 10:30am at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City.  CASA is a nonprofit organization which recruits, trains and supports adult community volunteers called Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA service the needs of all abused and neglected children in San Mateo County. Its volunteers have provided support and guidance to over 1,200 children. Mr. Ragosta also manages the Academic Success Program which provides educational support and advocacy for foster youth.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
