Rosh Hashana Party

Even on Rosh Hashanah, Rabbis Plan to Party
Chabad of the North Peninsula and the Chai Preschool are set to host a Rosh Hashanah party in addition to their regular prayer services and children’s programs.

The Jewish New Year is traditionally marked in a Synagogue with solemn prayer. This year, Chabad of the North Peninsula and the Chai Preschool are inviting the community for a Rosh Hashanah afternoon party which will feature apples dipped in honey, an exotic shofar display, a fun educational program for the kids, and discussion for the adults. It’s all happening between 4:30 and 5:30 on Thursday, September 5th, at the Wornick Jewish Day School, 800 Foster City Blvd, in Foster City.

“Our goal is to make the traditions accessible to the widest possible audience, and to make it meaningful and relevant,” says Rabbi Yossi Marcus, Director of Chabad of the North Peninsula. “For whatever reason, there are those who don’t attend the Synagogue and we want to give them an opportunity to engage with the holiday and the community.”
