Notre Dame De Namur University, 17th Annual Labor Day Theatre Festival

Following NDNU's opening performances of CATALYST by
Coleen Lorenz's local dance company New Ground Theatre Dance Company, the
NDNU Labor Day Theatre Festival continues with it's 17th celebration of theatre,
song and local talent presenting 15 different original short plays, musicals,
poetry and film. 



WEEK 3 Aug. 22, 23, 24, introduces
"PAVANE" by Wyllis Cooper; "PRACTICAL USES FOR A TIME
MACHINE" by Michelle (a very short musical); "A NEW YORK MINUTE"
by Michele Palermo; Khoree Page and his poetry performing friends;
'"ANYWHERE BUT HERE" a Kurt Weil revue perofrmed by Michelle Jasso;
"THE COUNT'S DAUGHTER" as short silent film by Johnny Villar;
"RODGERS AND HART AND HART, a one man musical performed by Jonathan
Francis; and Children's matinee performances of  "A FOOLISH
FAIRY TALE" by Karen Byrnes and "THE HOUSE ON POLKA-DOT HILL" by
Donna Imsand. Also for Aug. 24, matinee, special guest Char Prebus will be
honored for co-founding  international children's art exchange
program 'PAINTBRUSH DIPLOMACY" with her husband Rudy Prebus, over 30 yrs.

WEEK 3 Aug. 29, 30, 31, introduces
"NEWLYWED FEUD FACTOR" and "A WING AND A PRAYER" by
Robert Casillas; 'MISS DIRECTION" and "HEARTS AND SOLES" by VB
Leghorn, with repeat performances of "THE COUNT'S
DAUGHTER", "A NEW YORK
MINUTE",  "PAVANE", "THE HOUSE ON POLKA-DOT
HILL" and "A FOOLISH FAIRY TALE"

These are almost all original works
written, created and /or performed by local artists and
alums and offered by Notre Dame De Namur University Theatre to provide a
stage for new works, new voices and community expression. We truly hope you

thought inspiring theatre art.
