Foothill College Dance presents 28th annual Spring Concert

Foothill College Dance directed by Bay Area Theatre Critics', Dean Goodman and Drama Logue winner Bubba Gong will present its 28th annual Spring Concert and fundraiser for the award winning Dance Program on Friday and Saturday, May 30 and 31 at Smithwick Theatre, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills.  Broadway to Ballet, Hip Hip to Contemporary ….the two hour production will kick off with a pre-show of original and experimental student works beginning at 7 p.m. followed by the Main Curtain at 7:30 p.m.  Bubba Gong, artistic Director and founder will present premieres including "One world, One Beat" showcasing a diversity of dance techniques and styles from Gangnam style to Bob Fosse, "The Monsters' Ball" a tribute to ARTPOP Lady Gaga, and "Let's Get Loud," an Afro Samba Hip Hop fusion of rhythm and athleticism.   The movie musicals will be celebrating with excerpts from THE WIZ and CHICAGO.   Talented soloist will include world cultures from Ireland, Ballet Folklorico, Belly Dancing, and Tahiti.  The show is dedicated to Gong's mentor from Stanford University, Dr. Susan Cashion, who passed away in September and was a formative Dance Educator and Leader.  Tickets are $25 General, $15 Students, Seniors and Children and are available at the Box Office one hour prior to Showtime.  Information:  650.949.7354
