2012 marks the 20th year of Bethlehem A.D., a South Bay Christmastime tradition that recreates the ancient village of Bethlehem on the night of the first Christmas. FREE to the public, visitors walk through the outdoor village and interact with costumed actors; camels and other exotic animals; mingle with Roman centurions, tax collectors, census takers, village craftspeople, folk dancers and more. Angels on rooftops move to the music of a beautiful soundtrack, and the Holy Family in the Manger remind all about the true "Reason for the Season". Across the street from the event, free donuts and coffee and hot cider are served and bathrooms are available. December 21, 22, 23, from 6:00pm to 9:30pm nightly. 1305 Middlefield Road, 1 block south of Main Street in Redwood City. A memorable experience for the entire family. Follow the searchlights in the sky to Bethlehem A.D. !
