West Bay High School Celebrates its Graduates

West Bay, located in San Carlos, is an independent high school with an average enrollment of 65 students.

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in June, West Bay High School graduates (pictured above) were jubilant as they proudly walked on stage to receive their diplomas.

Greetings and Opening Remarks were made by WBHS’s Principal, Larry Krusemark. Bill Senteney, President of the Board of Directors gave a “State of the Union” address while acknowledging the hard work and accomplishments that these students have shown throughout their time at WBHS. 

Venetia Young, the first “female” Commencement Speaker since WBHS was established 39 years ago, thanked the Board of Directors for “a little change in tradition.” Her message questioned, “what is success? What matters is that as long as you are a nice person, honest, trustworthy to others and true to yourself, you will find success.”Natalie Dedrick was Valedictorian; Danielle BrettMessing as Salutatorian, and Dallas Scatena was honored the prestigious President’s Award.

Other honorees were Meaghan O’Connell, Jessie Aguiniga, Natalia Garcia and Andrew Conrad.
