'The Lorax' Says Grab Your Blanket and Visit Him in Burton Park

This Friday is the kick-off for the free outdoor summer movie series in Burton Park.

What better way to spend your Friday evening than gathered with the kids cuddled up under the stars in Burton Park watching "The Lorax" on the big screen.

This special event is a gift to the community on behalf of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department and the San Carlos Park & Recreation Department. The summer movie series kicks off this Friday, June 21 at 8:30 p.m. near the play structure at Burton Park.

"This is the third year in a row this event has been offered for free to the community and it is always a blast. A big thank you to the Sheriffs’ Department and the Sheriffs’ Activity League for putting this great event on," said Mike Becker, the city's youth development coordinator.
