Send Your Holiday Tree Off With Recology

Put your tree at the curb and it will be picked up for recycling on your regular collection day, now through Jan. 31.

It's hard to say goodbye to that tree that just a week ago shone so bright, but the time has come, as it does every year, to strip it of its bling and schelp it to the curb for its final trip to the big forest in the sky.

But you'll find some comfort in knowing that your Christmas conifer will be put to good use as compost after Recology collects it at the curb for recycling. Between now and Jan. 31, Recology will pick up your tree at the curb on your regular trash/recycling collection day.

The folks at Recology ask that you remove all decorations and tree stands (flocked trees are accepted) before placing next to your green Compost Cart. Trees may be up to 8 feet in length. If your tree is longer than 8 feet,  cut the tree before placing the pieces next to your Compost Cart. After January 31st, please cut the tree to fit inside the Compost Cart.
